Wonderworking Winnie

I can't believe how quickly time flies when you're living with a darling Boston Terrier like Winnie. I've been lazy about keeping up my Boston Terriers Rule website, but only because I've been busy writing books.

And Miss Winnie has been exceptionally helpful these last four years, assisting my writing and publicity. She's a real sport. If you're wondering how I get her to sit still in the posed photos -- the dog will do anything for a treat!

 Writing Life
Winnie is a warrior writing partner  (you might notice a theme).

Publicity Shots
It's hard out there for a pimp.

Bonus Shot
Winnie's post on @SubwayDoodle on Instagram got 17,721 likes!
So basically she's famous.

This should bring you up to date with the Wondrous World of Winnie the one-eyed Boston Terrier. She's a blessing and a joy. And the best writing partner and spokes-dog EVER! If you want to stay more current, follow me on Instagram @SimonePond.

And don't forget, Boston Terriers kick butt!

Wounded Winnie

Winnie is super sensitive (she takes after me) and when she eats anything besides her raw meat diet, she get's all sorts of allergies. She'll scratch her ears so much, I'm forced to do this:

I always feel so horrible putting on the cone of shame, but I found one made of fabric, so it's not as terrible. She still doesn't love it, but it's a much better alternative.

After a few days, she's usually back to her regular old self, crawling around and chewing on bones, and being way too cute.

Oh, Winnie.

Working Winnie

When I'm not writing novels in my living room or binge watching something on netflix, I'm freelancing somewhere in Los Angeles. The good thing is I work in advertising, so little Winnie usually comes with me. She's an excellent assistant!

This is her position most of the day - burrowed in her blankie:

She wakes up to the sound of bags opening - potential food:

She stares at me when she's bored:

Somehow she always ends up on my lap:

Working at the office is SO much more fun with Winnie by my side!

Wintertime Winnie vs. Springtime Winnie

I love this pic taken of Winnie on Christmas Eve in Denver. She's totally busting out of her jacket and not happy at all!

 VS.

This pic was taken a few days ago in Santa Monica, where it's already spring. Winnie's much happier in warmer weather!

Wiped out Winnie

This is Winnie's best friend, Kirby.

You might recognize him from previous photos and videos I've posted. We love Kirby. I might be slightly more obsessed with him than Winnie. She's more obsessed with stealing his bed.

This is usually how the end of the visit turns out.

Waggy Winnie!

Happy 5th Birthday to the little gal who saved my life:

This is her most favorite moment - post treat:

God blessed me with a little angel. I'm pretty sure Quincy and Sadie had a say in the matter. I will never walk this earth without a Boston Terrier by my side.

Thank you, Winnie for being such a gift in my life!

Wenchy Winnie

I don't know why I haven't posted a new update on Winnie's page. It's not like she isn't the cutest damn thing in the world. Where have I been? Oh, up my ass. I tend to get lost in there every now and then. But do not fear, I'm still completely and unabashedly co-dependent on my Winnie.

I found this picture of Winnie and her boyfriend Kirby (I'd like to note that Kirby is actually my boyfriend, but since humans dating dogs is socially unacceptable we pretend he's Winnie's boyfriend).

Look at Winnie taking over poor Kirby's bed.

Kirby looks like a typical dude thinking, "oh well, better let the bitch have it, or I'll have to hear about it all day long."

Wild eyed Winnie & Frankie

We were sad when Major moved to Colorado (without our permission), but the good news is Boston Terriers tend to multiply. Kinda like gremlins. Only a sweeter. And cuter.

Winnie and I met up with Taryn and her new rescue Frankie.

Look at these well-behaved these little girls (of course there were treats involved):

Piggie Winnie got a little too excited and almost climbed over Frankie to get that treat:

Then they refused to sit for a treat, because why should such cute little faces have to do anything for anyone:

Taryn and I took our pups for a lovely afternoon stroll around Concert Park. We got to catch up while Frankie and Winnie got to pee on almost every blade of grass.

I'm so happy that Taryn and Frankie found each other--look at both of those smiles! This is true love:

Bostons tend to have that affect on people.

Wrangling Winnie (and friends)

I highly recommend watching this video. Only if you want to find ultimate happiness though...

Winnie's Wuthering Week

First there was Winnie:

Then there was Kirby and Winnie:

Then there was Major, Winnie and Kirby:

It's true what they say - don't feed them after midnight and no water. These suckers multiply!

Winnie is having the time of her wonderful life, hanging out with her buddies.

Stay tuned for a video of the "Boston Terrorist Attack" that took place over the weekend.

Weary Winnie

The other night I took Winnie for a 2-mile run after work. I won't be doing that anytime soon. I have enough trouble running by myself, let alone dragging a 15-pound weight. She's really more of a short distance sprinter and she hauls ass. When food is involved, she's lightening fast.

Running for a longer period of time is not her thing. She had trouble keeping up and trust me, I wasn't going that fast. We were such a sight that a homeless dude asked incredulously what I was doing to my dog. Poor Winnie.

Today she went to the park with her pug friend, Roddy, and they wore each other out. After darting around with her buddy, she crouched down low to the ground like an army dude and rubbed her belly onto the cool grass, then plunked down in the shade. Winnie plays hard and rests even harder...
